Oh no! the DEMS didn't have the 218 they need, so they are counting that the GOP won't show up for the vote. Shit. A GOP absent vote is a "YES" vote for the DREAM Act, DEMS are counting that not enough GOP show up to vote. Call your Representative now (202) 224-3121

ReplyDeleteHow is Marlin Stutzman on this list? I am shocked!
ReplyDeleteHouse UPDATE: The vote was shut down, the rule passed 211-208. The rule that was just adopted is a rule that permits the House to take up the DREAM Act, debate it, and then vote on it. The vote on the DREAM Act is going to be VERY, VERY close tonight. Keep those calls coming! (202) 224-3121 NO on the DREAM Act. The House will begin its debate on the DREAM Act in about two minutes. The debate will last an hour.
ReplyDeleteCharles Djou, Hawaii, phone message machine said mailbox is full....aloha to you
ReplyDeletetoo! Will try others
Just spoke with Ron Paul's office he is voting no!!
ReplyDeleteAll of you SO-CALLED elected officials need to vote NO, NO, NO on the Dream Act. Get some backbone and vote for America, not illegals.
ReplyDeleteCBO has announced that the DREAM Act would reduce the deficit by billions. Why vote no? It would be a benefit to our country.
ReplyDeleteConnolly's mailbox full! (VA D-11)

ReplyDeleteThe guy is 18, btw.
ReplyDelete@ KMCS And no citizens rape people right?
ReplyDeleteHow does that relate at all to the DREAM Act?
DREAM Act is for students of GOOD MORAL STANDARDS. They can't have a record or they won't qualify. And they had to have come to the US before age 16 and 5 years prior to the date the law is enacted.
Your article has no business being posted here.
How in the world can this reduce the deficit???? Makes no sense. They will just end up getting grants to go to college. They would have to "work" to pay in any taxes and DON'T FORGET THAT USUALLY THEIR GUIDELINES WOULD MAKE MOST OF THEM ELIGIBLE TO VOTE IN 2012!! That's why the Dems are pushing it.
ReplyDeleteI meant USING!! Typing too fast. This makes me so upset!!
ReplyDeleteIf this passes, we have to have someone who knows what they are doing, file a lawsuit to keep it from every seeing the light of day. Then we the people have to be willing to do everything in our power to show congress we will not put up with them selling us down the drain any more. Let us pull it together and launch protests in Washington D.C. in such a large quantity as to overwhelm them in their offices.
ReplyDeleteIf we will not speak out who will. Wake up America they are trying to over run our nation with illegals who will vote for the BHO Marxist Communistic agenda. If we cannot stop it here, we sure will not be able to stop it later.
They do not give the ability to sign this post with their comment tag so I will openly post mine.

YES REDUCE. http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/120xx/doc12015/hr6497.pdf
ReplyDeleteCongressional Budget Office: READ THE FACTS.
PASS THE DREAM ACT. These students have grown up in America like the rest of us. I'm sure you all know someone who is undocumented and don't even know it.
ReplyDeleteAnd you don't need a social security to pay taxes. All you need is an ITIN#. Many of them are already paying taxes. AND NO THEY WILL NOT BE LEGIBLE TO VOTE IN 2012
RUMORS AROUND FROM AMERICAN UNKNOWN AUTHORS'S WARNING THAT MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WILL REFUSED TO PAY TAX RETURNS THIS YEAR OF 2011 !!. WHO ASKED FOR IT ? THE CONGRESS INLCUDING HARRY REID AND NANCY PELOSI AND OBAMA !.
ReplyDeleteWHAT A MESS AMERICA WILL BE IN 2011 IF ALL AMERICANS REFUSED TO PAY THEIR TAX RETURNS !.
ReplyDeleteI called a bunch of reps and told them that we Americans do not, DO NOT!!!, need another can of worms opened up. There's enough already to deal with. This is absolutely insane, INSANE!!!I absolutely refuse to pay my taxes if this Damned thing passes. If Timothy and Rangel can get away with it, so can I.
ReplyDeleteWe lost. We lost the House. The DREAM Act amnesty passed 216-198. It now goes to the Senate and must get 60 votes.
ReplyDelete"It is not being cold-hearted to acknowledge that every dollar spent on illegal immigrants is one dollar less that's spent on our own children, our own senior citizens and for all those who entered this society who played by the rules, who paid their taxes and expect their government to watch out for their needs before it bestows privileges and scarce resources on illegals," said Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif.
This is one stupid piece of legislation, once it is passed, these illegals will be able to bring over all of their relatives. I worked in the fields all of my young life, for $5.00 a day, yes day, so don't talk to me about being poor. I busted may ass to get where I'm at, and don't owe the illegals anything. Henry Cueller told me
ReplyDelete"his family was immigrants", so was mine but they came in legally.
Oh great now were "voting in illegals" How in the world can our country's Rep's consider this a benefit ? Votes thats what it's all about. What happened to the promise made by Dem's " We will listen to what the AMERICAN people want"
ReplyDelete""PASS THE DREAM ACT. These students have grown up in America like the rest of us. I'm sure you all know someone who is undocumented and don't even know it."""
ReplyDeleteNo, they have not grown up like the rest of us. their parents are criminals that violated federal law, they contribute little and take much. They are from families that refuse to speak english.
What they need is to be shipped back to whatever hellhole they came from and NOT be allowed to take space in any college that any real American should have.
Now open borders advocates are scrambling for the possibility of the Senate bringing up the House version and are desperately trying to garner more support. Under Senate rules, Reid will be able to bring up the House bill at any time, but Senate sources tell us that a vote will probably not take place until next week. The Senate is tentatively scheduled to adjourn December 17th.
ReplyDeleteThe DREAM Act passed the HOUSE.
ReplyDeleteNO CALLS are NEEDED to the HOUSE at this time.
Please focus all your energy on the Senate!
Thanks for all your support.
